District attorney declines to prosecute in recent stabbing

LAWTON,Okla_The Comanche County DA's office declined to file charges against a woman arrested Thursday in her alleged connection to a stabbing investigation.

Wednesday, police were called to the Crosby Park Apartments just after 12 a.m. to investigate a stabbing.
 
Upon arrival they spotted a truck near the apartment complex run a red light and stopped the driver who was taking the stabbing victim to the hospital.  
 
The victim had been stabbed once under the arm and is expected to recover.
 
 
In spite of the district attorney's decision not to prosecute, the case is not over yet. It's currently under review at the city prosecutor's office.

    The Oklahoma state Senate has passed a bill to give teachers a pay raise. The bill would raise the price of gas and diesel to pay for road maintenance and use the money already put back for road projects instead on education. The problem that many in the Senate pointed out is that they don't have the power to authorize that move.
