LAWTON, Okla._Lieutenant Governor Todd Lamb was at Cameron University Friday to kick off day two of his reelection campaign.
Lamb focused on job creation and growing the Oklahoma economy, saying they are key to maintaining a successful state. He says if he is re-elected, he wants to renew focus on public safety; which includes paying Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers what they deserve.
"They're the only law around 24 hours a day in different counties and communities so it's a priority we need to focus on. Protecting our people, protecting our citizens, beefing up the highway patrol and taking care of our troopers," said Lamb.
Lamb says Lawton was an important stop in his re-election campaign because of family ties to Ft. Sill and Cameron University.
