LAWTON,Okla_This week the USDA said last month's massive beef recall of nearly 9 million pounds of beef may have reached 35 states including Oklahoma.
A few neighborhood grocery stores in Lawton and Duncan have made the USDA's list of cities that received some of the beef in question.
According to the report, the beef is believed to have sold at three Lawton EzGo gas stations, Lawton's three Country Mart grocery stores and Taft Grocery.
The meat was also sold at Duncan's Goodners Foods. The beef was recalled after California company Rancho Feeding Corporation processed diseased and unhealthy animals without a full federal inspection.
The USDA food safety and inspection service said without full inspection, the recalled products are unfit for human consumption.
