LAWTON, Okla_Six vehicles were involved in an accident that left one of those cars on its side. It happened on the east side of the I-44 overpass on Rogers Lane around two o'clock Sunday afternoon.
Those involved say the culprit, the silver SUV that ended up on its side, was speeding and swerving back and forth through traffic in the moments leading up to the accident.
The other cars were parked at the red light, waiting to get onto I-44 when that silver SUV crashed into their vehicles.
Frank Garcia tried to get out of the car's way but wasn't able to. "When he came, I noticed from the back and I put my hazards on because I saw this car swerving and I kind of merged a little bit as far as I could to the left side of the lane. The last thing that I knew, I saw the impact of the other cars get hit and it went on two wheels," said Garcia.
After he saw the SUV run into the cars behind him, it hit his truck. "The front clipped and hit the side and rolled completely over and that's where it landed," said Garcia has he was standing beside his damaged truck.
Before it would land, it would come into contact with Kale Mosley's SUV. "I hear a crash; I hear the wheels screaming behind me. I look up in the rear view mirror to see what's going on and I see the same sight you're use to. I see a line of cars, two lines of cars going back except in between them I see nothing but this silver Scion on two wheels coming right up the road between the cars coming straight at mean and it was kind of like, alright, hang on, here he comes," said Mosley.
Frank Garcia was just happy that the accident wasn't more serious. Garcia said, "I am just glad everyone is ok out of this. You know, nobody died. Like I said you can replace a truck, you just can't replace a life."
No one had to be taken to the hospital in this six car accident. The driver of that silver SUV was cited for negligent driving.
