Gas prices increase, as Spring Break week begins

For those of you hitting the road this week for Spring Break, you may notice gas prices are up.

AAA Texas reports the average price per gallon is $3.23. The most expensive gas in the state is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where people are paying $3.30 at the pump.

The least expensive is in Beaumont where gas is $3.16. AAA Texas also conducted a Spring Break study and found 64% of the people polled are planning a little get away.

Austin was voted the top in-state destination for spring breakers, while New Orleans and Las Vegas took the top spots for out of state vacations.
