Area stores say they're unaffected by meat recall

LAWTON, Okla._Many area locations have stated that they have not received any of the tainted beef from the Rancho Feeding Corporation that is currently under scrutiny from the USDA.

EZ GO has posted on their Facebook page that there is no evidence of the recalled meat in any products in their stores. Thee three Country Mart grocery stores in Lawton have been removed from the USDA's list. Taft Grocery in Lawton has also come forward saying that none of the beef products in question were stocked in their store.

The manager of Goodner's in Duncan said Monday that their distributors do not purchase meat from the company in question.

"We're here for everybody's safety too, we want to make sure that we do not have contaminated meat," said Stephen Sanders, Meat Department Manager.
