Education forum for LPS parents Tuesday night

Lawton- Teachers and administrators are getting ready to speak out about the state of education in Oklahoma and they want parents help.

A forum is set for 7pm Tuesday at Central Middle School's auditorium. It was originally scheduled for last week, but postponed due to the ice storm. Topics will include teacher shortages, unfunded mandates by the state and the burden of testing.

Superintendent Dr. Tom Deighan will wrap up the forum with ways the community can help Lawton students.
