Preliminary hearing waived in child abuse case

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton man charged with child abuse has waived his right to a preliminary hearing.

Ian Quarterman is accused of beating his six-month-old son, leaving the boy with a broken leg and skull fracture. Quarterman told police the baby hurt his head by falling off a bed but did admit to twisting the baby's leg while changing his diaper.

He will be formally arraigned March 20th.
