Officer-involved shooting kills Lawton man

LAWTON, Okla_ The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left one Lawton man dead. 

Lawton Police said they were called just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning to a home near SW 41st Street and Park Ridge Boulevard on a call that 3 black men were vandalizing cars.
 
Once on the scene, officers checked the area but no suspects or damage were found.
 
While checking the area, officers heard a loud commotion and yelling coming from inside the home of the reporting party. 

Police said two officers knocked on the door, and someone from inside said they could come in. But the door was locked when officers tried to enter.

Police said a man then stepped outside of the home, and a third officer yelled "gun."

Multiple shots were fired, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. 
 
The two officers are now on administrative leave until OSBI completes a full investigation of the incident. 
 
The name of the victim has not yet been released.

    The Stephens County Sheriff's Office said goodbye to their K-9 Tuco at a memorial service Wednesday.  The 3-year-old German Shepard died in a car crash Sunday morning near Duncan Lake Road and Plato Road.
