Plane crash in Wichita Falls under investigation

WICHITA FALLS, Texas_The Federal Aviation Administration is now joining the investigation after the pilot of a small plane was forced to land in a field after it lost power in Wichita Falls.

Officials said the plane was making its approach to Kickapoo Airport when the engines failed. The pilot made the decision to land in a field to avoid a possible collision. Authorities say there were two people in the plane, but no one was hurt.

One of them is an instructor pilot, but it is not clear if he was the one flying the plane.
