Oklahoma gas prices at highest level in 6 months

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The average price for gasoline in Oklahoma is at its highest level in six months.

AAA Oklahoma reported Tuesday that the statewide average was $3.41 for a gallon of self-serve regular. That's seven cents lower than at the same time one year ago, but is the highest since Sept. 19 when the average was just below $3.42 per gallon.

The price is about two cents per gallon higher than last week and nearly 20 cents per gallon higher than last month.

Prices in selected cities in the state range from $3.32 per gallon in Idabel to $3.50 in Guymon. The average price in Tulsa is almost $3.34 per gallon while the price in Oklahoma City is just below $3.42 per gallon on average.

The national average is $3.52 per gallon.
