CHICKASHA, Okla. (AP) _ Authorities in Grady County are investigating after a person drowned while riding a horse.

The Grady County Sheriff's Office says the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon in the Bridge Creek area. According to Oklahoma City television station KOKH (http://bit.ly/1fHdRzH ), witnesses told police that a person rode a horse into a pond and both went underwater.

The witnesses say the horse came back up but the rider never surfaced. A dive team discovered the victim's body later Tuesday.
