Strange smell leads to calling in Hazmat

FORT SILL, Okla._Hazmat was on the scene at Ft. Sill after a chemical scare evacuated a building on post.

Soldiers were cleaning near the storage room of building 3440 around 1:00 p.m. when they noticed a strange smell. Then their eyes began to burn. The soldiers immediately called the fire department, who responded. At the scene they found old chemicals with faded labels so they weren't able to identify them. Hazmat was called to the scene to help safely dispose of the chemicals.

No one was hurt and soldiers are back in the building.
