Two suspects flee traffic stop

Amarillo, TX - A traffic stop in northwest Amarillo ended with one man on the run and the other in custody.

APD officers say during a traffic stop of a stolen silver Dodge Neon a little before six yesterday evening, the suspects ran the vehicle into a ditch in the 6000 block of Garden Lane near Bell Street.

According to officers the driver exited the vehicle carrying a revolver and fled, the passenger also fled the scene but was caught. 

51 year old Orlandus Obannon II, is facing several charges, he was also wanted on four local warrants.
