Lane murder suspects arraigned, trial set for August

DUNCAN, Okla._Two of the teen suspects charged in the shooting death of Australian, Chris Lane, returned to court Thursday were they waived their right to a speedy trial.

18-year old Michael Jones and 16-year old Chancey Luna were arraigned on first-degree murder charges in a Stephens County court. A judge ruled last week that both boys will stand trial for the death of 22-year-old Chris Lane. The judge scheduled that trial for august 18th.

The third suspect, 16-year old James Edwards Jr. agreed to testify against Jones and Luna for a lesser charge. He said last month that Luna was the triggerman and Jones was driving when Lane was killed last summer in Duncan.
