Woman accused of killing her husband will face trial

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._A Lawton woman accused of stabbing her husband to death in July of last year will stand trial for manslaughter.

Natasha Anzaldua was arrested and charged last July, about two weeks after her husband died.

He and a witness had told police that he had accidentally fallen on a knife, and was taken to the hospital for a wound to his stomach.

Initially, his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, but he died just a few days later in the hospital.

After his death, the medical examiner's report led police to change the case from an accidental stabbing to a homicide.

A trial date was not set Tuesday, because a judge has not yet been assigned to the case.
