Amarillo,TX - A 5K fun run claiming to be coming to Amarillo this weekend may be part of a scam.

The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo says there's a group calling itself the Color Bomb Run.

The group claims to be hosting a 5K this Saturday, the 29th on Wallace Blvd. with proceeds benefiting the Laura Bush Institute. However the institute says they have no association with the Color Bomb Run.

If you have visited the website and purchased tickets or made online contributions and you see there may be fraudulent activity report the incident to local law enforcement.

The Laura W. Bush Institute is however, collaborating with the well known Color Run scheduled in Amarillo for June 7th.
