Police seek suspect in convenience store robbery

Amarillo, TX - Police in Amarillo are looking for the man they say is behind an attempted armed robbery.

Police say Monday night, a man entered the Mini Food Mart in the 2800 block of East Amarillo Boulevard, holding a handgun and hiding most of his face.

The clerk on duty reportedly hid in the back room and did not give the suspect any money.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately five feet six inches tall, and his face was hidden behind a scarf, a hoodie, a beanie and clear large-frame glasses.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot, running north on North Manhattan.
