Elections Tuesday in SW Oklahoma

It's election day for several cities in southwest Oklahoma.

Voters in Lawton will get to decide two school bond issues totaling $30 million. It's a continuation of a 2004 bond package, therefore no tax increase for residents if approved. $22 million would go toward building repairs and technology upgrades.

Duncan voters will decide whether to extend a half-cent sales tax for five more years today. If passed, half the money will fund a search for alternative water sources.

Anadarko and Granite voters are also deciding school bond proposals. Walters, Duncan and Waurika have city council or commission positions on the ballot. Waurika has a separate city charter change proposition as well.

All polls open at 7am and close at 7pm. You can Count on 7NEWS for complete election results as they come in. We'll put them on TV and online at kswo.com
