Crack cocaine uncovered in routine traffic stop

LAWTON, Okla._

A driver was jailed Friday night after a search of her car uncovered 12.5 grams of crack cocaine.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer stopped Vaniecia Owens on south 17th Street after she drove past the officer with her high beams turned on.

When questioned for her identification Owens told the officer she didn't have a driver's license and gave the officer two false names.

The car's license plate checked back for a different car.

When asked to step out of her vehicle, the trooper uncovered marijuana and nearly 13 grams of crack cocaine.

Owens was arrested and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
