Posted: Updated:

ALTUS, Okla._Altus police were called to a traffic accident with injury Thursday Afternoon, shortly before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Main and A street.

One of the drivers, a 70-year-old woman, was driving a 2003 Toyota and was attempting to turn off of Main Street onto east A Street when her vehicle was struck by a north bound 2002 Chevrolet, driven by an 81-year-old man. Police are unsure at this time who exactly had the right-of-way because of conflicting statements from witnesses at the accident scene.

The woman was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital by EMS personnel for minor injuries. The man and his passenger were not injured in the accident.
