Altus police arrest man who refused leave a bathroom

ALTUS, Okla._Altus police arrested a man who refused to leave a Stripes bathroom.

Altus police were called to a Stripes location on north Main Monday evenings to check out a suspicious person. The caller told police that there was a man in the bathroom and was refusing to come out. Once police arrived, the man in the bathroom told them that he needed a Band-Aid for a small wound.

Police escorted him outside of the store near his car when they found a baggie with what appeared to be methamphetamine. At that point the officers placed 28-year-old Jesse Woodside-Fisher in handcuffs and taken to the officer's car. During their search of Fisher they found several more small baggies with what appeared to be meth.

After finding the additional baggies, Fisher broke away from the officers and began running northwest from the Stripes before he was caught on the 500 block of Hudson Street.

Fisher was taken to the Jackson County Detention Center and was arrested on complaints of Possession of a Controlled and Dangerous Substance with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled and Dangerous Substance within 1000 ft. of a School, Escape from Arrest and Obstruction.
