Lawton police are looking into an attempted kidnapping

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police are currently investigating an attempted kidnapping.

Police received a report about an attempted kidnapping on Friday, April 4 around 5:00 p.m. The caller stated she let her grandchildren play at the playground at Southwestern Medical Center. While the children were playing, a male tried to coax the children away from the playground. The grandmother immediately yelled for her grandchildren to come to her and the male walked away.

The man never touched or grabbed the children but was heard saying "If you come with me, I'll tell you where the baby rabbits are."

The suspect is described as a black male in his 50's, approximately 6' 2" and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket and white t-shirt. He left walking off in an unknown direction.
