UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Helium Road homicide

UPDATE: The Randall County Sheriff's office says a suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of 32 year-old Robin Diane Spielbauer.

An arrest warrant was issued for Spielbauer's ex-husband's current wife, 28 year-old Katie Yvonne Spielbauer.

Katie Spielbauer is charged with murder, a first-degree felony, and was taken to the Randall County jail.

Authorities say they will continue their investigation to determine whether anyone else was involved with Spielbauer's murder.

UPDATE: Randall County Sheriff's Department has identified the body as 32 year old Robin Diane Spielbauer of Amarillo.

Preliminary autopsy results show Spielbauer died of blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound.

The Randall County Sheriff's Office is receiving help from the Texas Rangers with this investigation.

UPDATE: Randall County Sheriff's Department says they are investigating the incident as a possible homicide.

Public information officer Danny Alexander says they are working to develop a suspect.

Amarillo, TX - A woman's body was found Tuesday afternoon on Helium Road near West County Road 34, west of Amarillo.

The Randall County Sheriff's Office are calling it a suspicious death.  

 Randall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Danny Alexander says the body was found next to an SUV in a bar ditch by two women who were driving north on Helium Road.

Randall County deputies, DPS troopers, and other emergency responders were all on scene. The vehicle has been impounded as they continue to investigate. 
   
Officials are suspicious of criminal activity and are not ruling anything out right now.

An autopsy has been ordered and it will be conducted in Lubbock tomorrow morning.

The name of the victim will not be released until authorities make a positive identification and next of kin is contacted.
