Medicine Park residents spooked by controlled burn

COMANCHE COUNTY, Okla._A controlled burn on Fort Sill spooked Medicine Park residents after it reached Fort Sill's outer edges.

As a precaution, a staging location was setup just south of the Highway 49 and Highway 58 intersection near Medicine Park. It was manned by half a dozen fire departments Friday in case the fire jumped the road.

Around 8:00 p.m. smoke could still be seen coming from the fire, but fire officials said it had been put out.
