Man sentenced to thirty years after shooting a cab driver

LAWTON, Okla._David Stamper, accused of shooting a cab driver in November 2012 was sentenced to 30 years.

Stamper, 19, will have to serve 15 years behind bars, the rest will be suspended. He pleaded guilty to shooting with the intent to kill, attempted robbery and a separate burglary charge back in November. Stamper and a juvenile accomplice tried to rob a taxi driver but Stamper ended up shooting him in the neck when the robbery was unsuccessful.

The driver did survive.
