Man arrested in connection to the deadly shooting outside a Lawton nightclub

LAWTON, Okla._ Lawton Police arrest one in connection to Saturday night's deadly shooting in a Lawton nightclub parking lot.

44-year-old Bryan Dutton was arrested early Sunday morning.

Lawton Police were called to the Dew Drop Inn on Fort Sill Boulevard just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Once the scene they found a man, later identified as 35-year-old Samuel Ruffin, lying in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Ruffin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say initial reports from witnesses says that the victim was having an argument with his girlfriend when the suspect intervened and shot him.

Multiple shell casings were found at the scene, along with what is believed to be the murder weapon.

The deadly shooting is being classified as Lawton's eighth homicide of 2014.
