Man steals woman's car while she delivers newspapers

LAWTON, Okla._ A woman's car was stolen as she delivered newspapers in a west Lawton neighborhood Sunday morning.

It happened just before 2 a.m. near NW 65th Street and Columbia Avenue.

The woman said that she had just ran up to a place a newspaper on a front porch when an unknown suspect got into the driver's seat of her car. She confronted the man but he began to drive off throwing her from the vehicle in the process.

The woman did suffer minor injuries during the incident.

The suspect got away with the vehicle and a number of other items being kept inside.

Police believe they did recover some of those items Sunday after a resident in the neighborhood reported them in their front yard.

The incident is still under investigation.
