Tornado recovery efforts continue

Posted: Updated:
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Rescue workers in Arkansas are continuing to dig through debris and try to account for any missing people following a deadly tornado.

Arkansas Department of Emergency Management spokesman Brandon Morris said early Monday that the main focus for local officials is saving lives and making sure everyone is accounted for.

More than a dozen people were killed when tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma and Arkansas Sunday evening.

Morris says local officials are also making sure utilities are shut off in the area to make sure fires don't start.

He says there is a "massive amount" of property damage in Faulkner County, though it's not yet clear how extensive the damage is.
