Police officer hit when a driver ran a red light

ALTUS, Okla._An Altus police officer is fine Monday afternoon after being involved in a wreck earlier in the day.

The officer was at the intersection of Main Street and Cypress when a driver ran a red light and crashed into his police car. Both the officer and the driver went to Jackson County Memorial Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. Both of the drivers have been released.

The driver that ran the red light was issued a citation.
