Offensive sign covered up near Medicine Park

MEDICINE PARK, Okla._A Comanche County man who was displaying a not-so-welcome sign to Medicine Park traffic has painted over his vulgar message.

According to the Comanche County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived at Joe Squire's home Monday night, telling him either the message had to be removed by Tuesday, or he would face charges. By Tuesday morning the words were gone. The sheriff's office says there aren’t any laws against private graffiti on personal property out in the county.

However, since squire's sign was facing a major road, it was deemed too offensive for the public.
