Suspected drug dealer arrested in drug bust

LAWTON, Okla._Lawton police were armed with a search warrant when they knocked on the door of a suspected drug dealer in northwest Lawton.

Just before 9:30 a.m. Thursday police went to the home of Jermaine Johnson to search the home after Johnson was suspected of selling crack cocaine. Johnson was read his Miranda Rights and agreed to speak with the detectives on scene because he was afraid they would “tear up” the home. Johnson told the detectives there were two guns in a dresser drawer, marijuana on top of the refrigerator and crack cocaine residue in the bathroom sink. Johnson also stated there was a Pyrex dish with residue and admitted to owning digital scales.

During the interview later on, Johnson admitted to police that he was a drug dealer and sold crack cocaine. Johnson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, conspiracy to distribute cocaine and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
