Red flag warning in place again for west Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Another red flag warning remains in effect for western Oklahoma due to dangerous wildfire conditions in the area.
The National Weather Service says the warning is effective from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Forecasters say temperatures will approach 100 degrees with low humidity and strong winds.
The warning covers areas in western Oklahoma including Woodward, where about two dozen homes were evacuated Tuesday because of an approaching wildfire.
Forecasters say the wildfire danger will diminish throughout the week as storms enter the state. The Storm Prediction Center says parts of Oklahoma are at a slight risk Wednesday and Thursday for severe thunderstorms.
