WACO - Waco police have arrested six men accused of raping a teenage girl in April.

Officers were notified of a sexual assault that occurred on April 23, where six men had sex with a girl under the age of 16 against her will. Police were called to Providence Hospital after the girl was brought in for an exam, which indicated she had been sexually assaulted.

Police say the victim had skipped school earlier that day and left with people she knew. They took her to North Waco area home, where police say six men all had sexual contact with her against her will.

Detectives investigated the case, and through a forensic interview, they were able to determine that all six suspects had some sort of sexual contact with the victim against her will.

Warrants were obtained for Douglas Demond Canada, Lamont Tray Davis, Dejuan Oshea Degrate, Devoric Javon Evans, Cory Darnell Hall, and Daytron Derrell Smith. All face charges of sexual assault of a child.

All six suspects were arrested Thursday, May 8, with assistance from the traffic unit.
