Lawton man charged with arson

LAWTON, Okla._ A Lawton man was charged with first-degree arson Tuesday for setting his estranged wife's home on fire while she was inside.

The incident took place Friday when firefighters were called to a house at 23rd and Denver Ave. where they found the front door on fire.

The woman and her boyfriend made it out of the house uninjured, but the home's window frames and doors were damaged from the fire.

The woman told investigators she and her boyfriend heard a noise and when she looked outside she saw her estranged husband, Joe Greaves, striking matches over a pool of gasoline.

Investigators also later found the interior of the car belonging to the woman had also been doused in gasoline.
