Newcastle, OK - Officials in an Oklahoma school district are issuing a warning to female students who may be getting targeted and gaining unwanted attention. The small Oklahoma community of Newcastle is being shaken up by a disturbing trend happening through the middle and grade school.

Parents of female students were taken off guard after receiving letters from the school district that the popular social media site "Instagram" is attracting predators.

Investigators say the suspect followed nearly 60 students and the person behind the screen even tried to lure the young girls into meeting them. Students who were approached by this user told staff at the school right away what was going on.

Since it is an open investigation, detectives did not say much about the case, but say they are working aggressively to make sure the suspect is found and stopped.
