Fire Chief: Two dead following Marlow house fire

MARLOW, Okla._ Two people, one of them a young child, were killed in a house fire here early Saturday morning.

The investigation into how the fire started is still being investigated, but fire officials have confirmed they are ruling out the possibility of arson. The fire destroyed a Marlow home along East Arapaho.

The fire broke out just around 3:30 a.m., according to Marlow Fire Chief Ryan Hall. Fire crews spent more than five hours putting out the fire. There were between three and five others who escaped the blaze without injury.

The fire did not spread to any neighboring homes. This incident is being investigated by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
