Porter Hill boil advisory lifted

PORTER HILL, Okla._Porter Hill residents may be happy to know that the water conditions have been tested and came back clean.

The boil advisory has been lifted for people in Comanche County Rural Water District 2. The Department of Environmental Quality says they have tested the water and all samples have come back good. The boil advisory came after a waterline break over the weekend that left customers without water for five days.

The Porter Hill area had their water restored Tuesday.

    According to a report released by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the number of Oklahomans who died due to the flu this flu season has risen to 84. The increase of 16 deaths in the latest report occurred at the end of January to the beginning of February for the most part. The delayed reporting is due to late reports received by state concerning flu-related deaths. According to officials, none of those deaths had a positive flu test during the past week.
