Fire destroys Cache home

Posted: Updated:
CACHE, Okla_ A fire claims the 2-story home of a Cache family early Saturday.

Crews responded to a large house fire near NE Bishop and NW Post Oak Roads just after 4 a.m.

When fire crews arrived they had to go to full defense mode as it was already completely consumed. Luckily, no one was home at the time.

Crews from Cache, Indiahoma and Geronimo Fire Departments all responded to the blaze. The fire was completely out by 10 a.m., but Cache Fire Chief Dale Winham says the house is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but it is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal.
