Oklahoma VA audit report

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla._ A newly-released audit of the VA centers at Muskogee and Oklahoma City showed new patients there waited at least a month to be seen.

The report also showed nearly 500 patients waited more than two months for an appointment.

The report showed much better results for established patients. Their wait times averaged just over two days.

There was no comment from either center on the report, saying they were still examining the data.

The Oklahoma results were part of a nationwide audit that covered more than 700 sites, and included nearly 4 thousand staff interviews to determine how long the veterans had to wait to receive care.
