Arrest: Duncan man accused of impersonating an officer

DUNCAN, Okla._A Duncan man was arrested on a complaint of impersonating a police officer.

Investigators said Wednesday, he had outfitted his SUV with a light bar, and was wearing a badge when he stopped several people in Duncan and Comanche.

Police were able to use witness descriptions of him and his vehicle to track him down, and bring him in for questioning two weeks ago, but did not make an arrest. Last week deputies armed with a search warrant went to Austin Wren’s home, and found a police hat, as well as clothing that resembled an officer's uniform, along with a light strip for his vehicle. Wren was arrested at his home.

Further investigation revealed Wren is a former reserve officer in the town of Cement, in Caddo County.
