Crews continue to work on traffic signals

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._Work has begun on a busy Lawton intersection that has been turned into a four way stop after a wreck knocked down the stop light.

Since early Saturday morning, the intersection of Gore Boulevard and Sheridan Road has seen its fair share of accidents because of the broken traffic lights. Crews started pouring the cement for the base of a light on Monday. The cement must sit for a day to harden before it's safe to put any poles up.

The city of Lawton says the parts they needed were in stock. They expect the lights to be up and running by Friday at the latest.
