ALTUS, Okla._Altus police have detained four suspects  after shots rang out in an apartment complex on the southwest side of town.

It all happened around 3:30 early Sunday morning at the Ridgecrest Apartments. Witnesses told police they heard several shots fired before seeing four men quickly run inside an apartment. Police later found bullet holes in the exterior of one of the units. Officers were able to bring the men in for questioning Sunday afternoon, but when it came to searching the apartment they ran into, the owner of the apartments refused to cooperate.

A search warrant was issued and police were able to find four handguns inside later Sunday afternoon. No word yet on whether any arrests have been made.
