North Korea calls American movie 'act of war'

Seoul, North Korea - North Korea warns they will view the release of a new American movie as an "act of war that we will never tolerate.

"While an unidentified spokesman for North Korea's foreign ministry did not mention the movie by name, it is implied he is referring to "The Interview," a comedy to be shown in theaters in October.

The film stars James Franco and Seth Rogen as talk show hosts who are recruited by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.The spokesman said the U.S. will "invite a strong and merciless countermeasure" if the government does not block the movie's release.

"[The movie's release is] the most undisguised terrorism and a war action to deprive the service personnel and people of the [Democratic People's Republic of Korea] of their mental mainstay and bring down its social system," the spokesman said.
