Three teens charged in connection to robbery and home invasion

Posted: Updated:

LAWTON, Okla._Three teenagers were charged for last week's robbery of a doctor at a medical clinic and a separate home invasion.

Ryan Rivera, 19 along with a 15 and a 16-year-old all entered pleas of not guilty to a long list of charges Wednesday, including burglary and robbery.

Court documents showed the two younger boys chose the victim randomly last week after seeing him walk into the clinic on W. Gore Blvd. around 3 a.m. The suspects took the victim's wallet at gunpoint, then brought it to Rivera at his home. Police say Rivera used the stolen credit card to buy two video game systems at a Walmart barely two hours after the robbery. Investigators say Rivera also admitted under questioning that he set up the home invasion robbery later that day, and drove the younger boys to the area. Rivera said when he saw police arrive, he knew his partners in crime had been arrested. All three are being held on $50,000 bond.
