Salt Lake City, USA – June 26, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ –

The Number Ones Band from Utah, one of the state’s most talented live party bands and dance bands, is proud to announce their new partnership with Best Utah Bands, a band booking agency based out of Utah. The high-energy party band boasts several top-notch studio musicians whose exceptional musical skills set their group apart from other bands in the state.

The Number Ones is a versatile ensemble that can play as an instrumental trio, a ten-piece party band and cover band complete with quality vocalists, or any configuration in between. Sax player, David Halliday, is a remarkable talent that has won many prestigious awards throughout his illustrious career including the only Award for Outstanding College Performer at the 1996 International Jazz Festival held in Reno, Nevada, and the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival’s Outstanding Collegiate Tenor Sax Soloist Award four consecutive years.

Halliday has toured throughout the U.S. and other countries, performed with some of the music industries elite including Josh Groban, The Temptations, Galactic Funk Band, Wynton Marsalis, Dizzy Gillespie, Eric Marienthal, Freddie Hubbard, and a long list of other top musicians and singers. David’s saxophone talent has been featured on Touched by an Angel, the NBA theme on ABC, and many national TV commercials. He has appeared on a number of hit TV shows, performed the National Anthem at multiple Utah Jazz NBA Playoff games, and owns his own record label. After releasing his first album, Sam Cardon, an Emmy Award winning performer and composer, called Halliday’s album “the best jazz to ever come out of Utah.”

Not to be outdone, Tom Hopkins, lead guitarist for the party band, has his own extensive list of credits. He is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter, composer, and producer who may not be a household name, but his music compositions and productions have been seen and heard in many major motion pictures, TV shows, artist CDs, concerts, and video games. He is credited with theme music from “Good Morning America,” “The Oprah Show,” “NBA on ABC,” the “NFL Game of the Week,” “That 70′s Show,” and countless others.

Hopkins is a prolific video game music composer, also lending his guitar skills to the recordings, having composed and played in more than 60 leading video games, including Sony’s Twisted Metal series, Dance Dance Revolution, Disney’s The Ultimate Band, and the 1995 War Hawk game that led to him winning the prestigious “Best Video Game Music of the Year” Award. With talent like this, Best Utah Bands is excited to add The Number Ones to their roster of top party bands, cover bands, live wedding bands, and dance bands.

The newest addition to The Number Ones Band is Alex Rowe, an American Idol Tour Bassist who toured with runner-up David Archuleta. Alex’s talent on bass is stunning, and only exceeded by his high-octane, incredibly eye-popping dance moves during live performances.
