Stephens Co. Sheriff's office forms new task force

STEPHENS COUNTY, Okla._The Stephens County Sheriffs Department has assembled a new crime team whose focus will be investigating violent crimes.

Sheriff Wayne McKinney says we live in a different time so his department formed The Felony Apprehension and Suppression Team. The team will take a more proactive approach to crime--working to identify the criminal element before the crime is

committed.

McKinney is looking to include other agencies in the county, including Duncan and Marlow.
