Clovis officials investigate suspicious death

UPDATE: Clovis officials investigate suspicious death

UPDATE: Clovis police have identified the victim as 33 year-old Jose Barrera of Tucumcari, New Mexico.


Police are also searching for two people who may know more about the circumstances surrounding Barrera's death.


The persons of interest are 37 year-old Lorenzo Medina (AKA "Torro") and 42 year-old Frank Campos, both of Clovis.


Anyone with information in regards to the whereabouts of these two individuals is encouraged to contact the Clovis Police Department at 575-769-1921 and ask for a detective.


Preliminary autopsy results are expected to be available soon.

Clovis, NM - Clovis police are investigating a suspicious death this morning after a body is discovered.

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Sheldon street after the property manager showed up to collect rent and found a man lying on the bathroom floor.

The amount of blood found with the victim's body has police now looking into a possible homicide.

The man has been identified as an Hispanic male, however his name is not being released.

An autopsy has been ordered in Albuquerque while evidence continues to be collected.

Police have no suspects at this time.
