Police: Teen carrying 60 grams of pot arrested

LAWTON, Okla._ A 19-year-old was arrested on drug related charges after police say they uncovered hundreds of dollars in marijuana they believe he planned to sell.

Shavontay Gardener was arrested near NW 32nd and Ferris Avenue on July 7.

Police say they were called out for a gun disturbance, and when they arrived they found a large crowd gathered in the street. Gardener caught the attention of police as he began shouting a number of different expletives and calling officers "racist pigs."

Gardner was placed under arrest for his obscene language. When police searched him they found two large sandwich bags in his pockets. Each bag contained smaller individually wrapped bags of marijuana.

Police say a total of 63 grams of marijuana was recovered. Gardener is facing charges of intent to distribute the drugs.
