Woman arrested for trying to smuggle drugs into prison

LAWTON, Okla._A woman is behind bars after being accused of bringing drugs and tobacco into GEO prison.

Veronica Lyles was arrested over the weekend after she was caught passing a total of 16 grams of tobacco and rolling papers, 34.8 grams of marijuana and 6.5 grams of meth to GEO inmate Jermaine Toliver. Police said Lyles was caught when she tried to hand the items, wrapped in black tape and a condom, to Toliver. She's charged with bringing contraband into a penal institution.

Toliver is currently serving time for a drug related conviction.
